Upper Ball Joint Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE

J 36607 Ball Joint Separator
1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle with suitable safety stands.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the brake hose and the bracket (upper control arm only).
4. Using a 3.17 mm (1/8 in) drill, cut a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) deep hole in the center of each rivet.
5. Using a 12.7 mm (1/2 in) drill bit, drill away the rivet heads.
6. Using a pin punch, remove the rivets.
