SUBJECT:

GLOVE BOX LIGHT STAYS ON

MODELS:

1988 C/K MODELS

Some 1988 C/K models may have glove box lights that stay on when the glove box door is closed. This condition may be caused by material in the glove
box pressing against the glove box door allowing the light switch to stay activated. To repair this condition, drill a 3/16 inch hole 3/4 inch deep in the
glove box door in the area of the glove box door that contacts the light switch. Push plastic stop fastener, P/N
15607147, into the drilled hole. The plastic stop fastener depresses the light switch an additional 1/16 of an inch, which is enough to eliminate this
condition.

Notice:

Exercise care when drilling so as not to drill through the glove box door.
