Crankshaft Main Bearing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

NOTE:  Check the crankshaft bearing caps for location markings. Mark the caps if necessary. The caps must be returned to the original locations with
the arrow pointing forward during assembly.

1. Remove the crankshaft bearing cap bolts.
2. Remove the crankshaft bearing caps.
3. Remove the crankshaft.
4. Remove the crankshaft upper bearings from the engine block.
5. Remove the crankshaft lower bearings from the crankshaft bearing caps.
6. Remove the rear crankshaft oil seal from the crankshaft.
