3. Install the oil pan to the engine.
4. Install the oil pan bolts and the strut rods.
Tighten
Tighten the oil pan bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Notice:Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners
requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use
paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These correct tightening sequence and
specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
5. Install the oil cooler line retainer to the bracket (if equipped).
6. Install the oil filter and adapter (if equipped).
7. Install the transmission oil cooler line retainer to the bracket (automatic transmission only).
8. Install the flywheel/torque converter inspection shield.
9. Install the following components:
A.The front propeller shaft
B.The front drive axle
C.The underbody protection shield
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Install the oil level indicator and the tube.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 54 N.m (40 lb ft).
12. Refill the crankcase with the proper quantity and grade of engine oil
13. Connect the negative battery cable.
