8. Discard all of the used sealing washers. Cap all openings.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the accumulator using new sealing washers.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the nut to the accumulator. 

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

3. Install the accumulator mounting bracket nut.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Connect the evaporator pipe to the accumulator.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
