Torsion Bar: Service and Repair
Torsion Bar Bushing Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required

J 36202 Torsion Bar Unloading/Loading Tool.
IMPORTANT: This procedure requires the removal of both torsion bars.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the torsion bars.
3. Remove the bushing from the bracket utilizing a bushing driver or the equivalent.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the bushing to the bracket utilizing a bushing driver or the equivalent.
2. Install the torsion bars.
3. Remove the safety stands.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Measure the Z height. Refer to Alignment Specifications in Alignment.
6. Turn the adjustment bolt clockwise to increase the Z height and counter clockwise to lower the Z height.
