K 2500 Truck 4WD V8-6.0L VIN U (1999)
5. Install the mainshaft washer and nut using J 38805.

Tighten the nut to 441 Nm (325 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the extension housing to the transmission with eight bolts.

Tighten the nut to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the transfer case. Refer to Transfer Case Replacement in NV246 Automatic Transfer case or Transfer Case Replacement in NV261 Manual
Transfer Case.
8. Install the rear propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement (Front Drive) in Propeller Shaft.
9. Check the transmission oil level. Refer to Fluid Replacement
10. Lower the vehicle.
