CAUTION: Take care when handling the sensor. Damage to the sensor will affect the operation of the injection timing control system.
6. Inspect the sensor O-ring for wear, cracks or leakage and replace if necessary.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Lube the new O-ring with engine oil.
2. Install the sensor in the engine.
3. Install the sensor mounting bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the mounting bolt to 25 Nm (17 lb. ft.).
4. Connect the sensor electrical connector.
5. Connect the negative battery cables.
6. Refer to PCM Programming (TDC Offset). This procedure must be done when a crankshaft position sensor is replaced. See: Computers and
