Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE

J28458 Power Piston Seal Protector and Diaphragm Retainer Installer
1. Remove the oil pan and the oil filter.
2. Remove the external wiring harness connector from the transmission pass-through connector. Squeeze the fore and aft flats on the connector in
order to release the locking tabs. Pull the connector.
3. Remove the accumulator cover bolts.
4. Remove the 1-2 accumulator cover.
5. Remove the piston.
6. Remove the springs.
7. Remove the component electrical connectors.
