Control Assembly: Description and Operation
HVAC Systems - Manual
Auxiliary HVAC Control Assembly-without Sunroof Option
Utility vehicles, without the sunroof option, have both a front auxiliary HVAC control assembly along with a rear auxiliary HVAC control assembly.
Power is delivered from the auxiliary blower motor resistor assembly on the auxiliary blower motor speed control circuits to the rear auxiliary HVAC
control assembly. If the vehicle operator places the front auxiliary HVAC control assembly in the REAR CNTL position only, ground is provided on the
auxiliary HVAC switch supply voltage circuit to the front auxiliary HVAC control assembly. Ground is routed through the front auxiliary HVAC control
assembly, back through the rear auxiliary HVAC control assembly on the ground circuits and a splice pack to ground.
When the vehicle operator turns the auxiliary HVAC control switch front to the Low, Med, or High positions, power passes through the rear auxiliary
HVAC control assembly and the front auxiliary HVAC control assembly controls the ground. When power is delivered to the rear auxiliary HVAC
control assembly, an internal splice within the switch routes the power back out to the front auxiliary HVAC control assembly on the auxiliary blower
motor speed control circuits. Ground is routed back through the rear auxiliary HVAC control assembly on the ground circuits and a splice pack to
ground.
Auxiliary HVAC Control Assembly-with Sunroof Option
Utility vehicles with the sunroof option will only have the front auxiliary HVAC control assembly. The rear auxiliary HVAC control module and rear
auxiliary HVAC control processor will be deleted.
