Rough Running or Stalling Immediately After Start (Install PROM)

Models:
1995 C/K Chevrolet and GMC Truck C/K Models 
with 6.5L Engine (VIN S - RPO L56) with Automatic Transmission

CONDITION

Some owners may experience a rough running, or stalling immediately after start.

CAUSE

The previous calibration did not optimize engine starting at all coolant temperatures.

CORRECTION

1.

If no DTC's are set, refer to Section 2 in the Service Manual for driveability symptoms. If DTC's are set, refer to the chart in the Service Manual
for the code.

2.

Check PROM ID using Tech 1.

3.

Install PROM from table listed below if it is not currently in truck.
