K 3500 Truck 4WD V8-6.6L DSL Turbo VIN 1 (2001)
1. Apply clean engine oil to the roller and outside of the valve lifter assembly.
2. Install the valve lifter.
3. Install the valve lifter guides on the valve lifters.
4. Install the guide hold down bracket.
Make sure that both tabs of the bracket on in the holes of the valve lifter guides.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the valve lifter guide hold down bracket bolt.

Tighten the hold down bracket bolt to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).
6. Install the cylinder head assembly.
