Remove the 0-rings from the oil cooler and discard the 0-rings.

Clean the mating surfaces of the engine block and the oil cooler.

Install new 0-rings (2) to the oil cooler.

Apply sealant(1), P/N 88861417(in Canada, use P/N88861418), to the oil cooler as shown. Do not apply sealant to the 0-ring grooves on the oil
cooler.
7.
Install the oil cooler to the engine. Refer to the Engine Mechanical sub-section in the appropriate Service Manual.
8.
The maximum working time of this sealant is 20 minutes. The sealant will be fully cured in 24 hours. The assembly may be filled with engine oil
immediately after applying the sealant and torquing the bolts. The engine can be started after 2 hours of cure time.
