Fluid Replacement 
Removal Procedure

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Place a suitable container under the transmission to catch the oil.
3. Remove the oil fill plug.
4. Remove the oil drain plug.

Installation Procedure

1. Remove all of the existing sealant from the oil drain plug.
2. Apply pipe sealant GM P/N 12346004 to the treads of the oil drain plug.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the oil drain plug.

Tighten the oil drain plug to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).

4. Fill the transmission with the proper transmission fluid to the bottom of the oil fill plug hole. 
5. Remove all of the existing sealant from the oil fill plug.
6. Apply pipe sealant GM P/N 12346004 to the treads of the oil fill plug.
7. Install the oil fill plug.

Tighten the oil drain plug to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).

8. Lower the Vehicle.
