K 3500 Truck 4WD V8-6.6L DSL Turbo VIN 1 (2001)
1. Coat the threads with sealer GM P/N 9985253 or equivalent. (If part is new and has sealer, do not recoat threads.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Carefully install the ECT sensor (1).
Tighten
Tighten The ECT sensor to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
3. Connect ECT electrical connector (1) to the sensor.
4. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
