Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the batteries.
2. Remove the connector.
3. Remove the mounting bolt (2).
4. Remove the sensor (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Lubricate the O-ring on the new sensor with assembly lubricant.
2. Install the sensor (1).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the mounting bolt (2).
Tighten
Tighten the mounting bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
4. Plug in the connector.
5. Reconnect the batteries.
