K 3500 Truck 4WD V8-6.6L DSL Turbo VIN 1 (2001)
15. Install PCV catch tank, hose clamp and bolt to the right front of the engine.
16. Install the thermostat housing bracket, wiring, fuel test port and nuts.
17. Install the alternator.
18. Install a new O-ring to the oil fill tube and lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil.
19. Install the oil fill tube.
20. Install air conditioning/power steering bracket and bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the air conditioning and power steering bracket bolts to 46 N.m (34 lb ft).
21. Install the power steering pump.
22. Install the air conditioning compressor.
23. Install the positive battery cable junction box and bolt.
24. Install the serpentine belt.
25. Install the tan blade assembly.
26. Install the upper fan shroud.
27. Refill the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
28. Install the air intake duct.
29. Reconnect the negative battery cables to both batteries.
30. Replace all of the hold down ties.
31. Stan the engine and check for leaks or noises.
32. After the engine warms up, refill coolant reservoir to proper level.
