Removal Procedure
1. Mark the position of the secondary hood latch (3) on the hood.
2. Remove the secondary hood latch from the vehicle.
3. Remove the spring (2) from the hood.
4. Remove the spring from the reinforcement (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the spring (2) to the hood.
2. Install the spring into the reinforcement (1).
3. Install the secondary hood latch (3) to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the secondary hood latch to the hood bolts.
Tighten the latch to the hood bolts (4) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
