REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the fuel below the level of the fuel filler hose. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining Procedure.
3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in Vehicle Lifting.
4. Clean all fuel hose connections and surrounding areas before disconnecting the fuel hoses in order to avoid possible contamination of the fuel
system.
5. Loosen the vent hose and the fill hose clamps at the upper filler tube (3) and the lower filler tube (5) and the vent tube (1).
6. Remove the fuel fill hose and the vent hose.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the fuel fill hose and the vent hose.
2. Connect the fuel fill hose and vent hose clamps.
Tighten
Tighten the fuel fill and fuel vent hose clamps to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Refill the fuel system.
5. Inspect for leaks.
6. Install the fuel tank filler cap.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the fuel below the level of the fuel filler hose. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining Procedure.
3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in Vehicle Lifting.
4. Clean all fuel hose connections and surrounding areas before disconnecting the fuel hoses in order to avoid possible contamination of the fuel
system.
5. Loosen the vent hose (8) and the fill hose (7) clamps at the fuel tank and the lower filler tube (5) and the vent tube (1).
6. Remove the fuel fill hose (7) and the vent hose (8).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the fuel fill hose (7) and the vent hose (8).
2. Connect the fuel fill hose and vent hose clamps.
Tighten
Tighten the fuel fill and fuel vent hose clamps to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Refill the fuel system.
