K Yukon/Denali 4WD V8-5.7L VIN R (2000)
8. Twist the halfshaft boot cover (1):

K10 = 180 degrees

K20/K30 = 90 degrees
Important: Be sure that the inboard tab of the halfshaft boot cover (1) is 180 degrees opposite the outboard tab of the halfshaft boot cover (1)
before proceeding.
9. Position the outboard end of the halfshaft boot cover (1) over the CV joint (2) flat.
Important: Tighten the boot cover clamp (1) as tight as possible without deforming the retaining clip. Clamps that are not tight enough allow the
cover to slide upon the joint. This causes shortened service life.
10. Use J41187 in order to tighten the outboard cover clamp (1).
11. Rotate J41187 toward the clip in order to bend the band onto the clip.
12. Pull the tool's cutting handle in order to cut off the excess band.
