SERVICE PROCEDURE (See Figure 1)
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Remove the two bolts securing the exhaust pipe at the transmission support.
3.
Remove the exhaust pipe to exhaust manifold bolts, right side and discard. Left side attaching hardware will be reused.
4.
Use a pry bar, separate the exhaust pipe assembly from the manifold. Remove the seals and discard.
5.
Install new seals. Install new bolts on the right hand manifold and use the existing studs/nuts on the left hand side. Torque bolts to 20 N-m (15
ft.lbs.).
