31. Carrier assembly route wires and cables through holes.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Carrier assembly to cowl (route wires and cables).
2. Instrument panel to cowl mounts.

Ductwork, dash plugs, wire looms, and heater cables to carrier.
^
Screws (in defroster outlets).
^
Instrument panel support.
^
Screws (from under carrier).
3. ECM to the vehicle.
4. Instrument cluster.
Reconnect and mount:
^
Speedometer I/P connector and VSS connector.
^
Flasher assembly.
^
Multifunction alarm.
^
Horn relay.
^
Cruise module.
^
Courtesy lamps.
5. Cluster housing bezel mounting nuts and bezel.
Tighten Bezel mounting nuts to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).
6. Heater and A/C control.
7. Rear defogger and light switch harness.
8. Switch trim plate.
9. Switch trim plate screw.
Tighten Switch trim plate screw to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).

Raise the steering column to mounting bracket.
10. Steering column support nuts.
11. Shift indicator column to column bowl (align indicator).
12. Hood release cable.
13. Steering column filler panel.
14. Steering column filler panel screws.
Tighten Steering column filler panel screws to 1.6 Nm (14 lb in).
15. Sound insulation panels.
16. Sound insulation panel screws.
Tighten Sound insulation panel screws to 1.6 Nm (14 lb in).
17. Front radio speakers.
18. Speaker retainers.
19. Speaker grilles.
20. Speaker grille screws.
Tighten Speaker grille screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).
21. Radio.
22. Radio bolt.
Tighten Radio bolt to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).
23. Instrument panel storage compartment.
24. Ashtray support and ashtray screws.
Tighten Ashtray screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).
25. Instrument panel storage compartment door frame.
26. Instrument panel storage compartment door.
27. Instrument panel storage compartment door hinge screws.
Tighten Hinge screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).
28. Instrument panel storage compartment door strap.
29. Accessory trim plate.
30. Accessory trim plate screws.
Tighten Accessory trim plate screws to 1.4 Nm (12 lb in).
