TIGHTEN

Pitman arm nut to 250 Nm (184 lbs. ft.).
3. Steering gear to frame of vehicle.
4. Relay rod to the pitman arm ball stud. Make sure the seal is on the stud.

Tighten J 29193 or J 29194 to 62 Nm (48 lbs. ft.) to seat the tapers. Remove the tool.
5. New relay rod prevailing torque nut to the pitman arm ball stud.
TIGHTEN
^
Nut to 82 Nm (60 ft.lbs.).
6. 0il filter pipes to the crossmember bracket.
7. Splash shield.

Lower the vehicle.
8. Intermediate shaft. Line up the marks made at removal.
9. Slide the intermediate shaft cover over clamp.
