J 9519-E Ball Joint Remover and Installer Set
1. New ball joint into the lower control arm.
a. Press in the ball joint using tools as shown. The ball joint will bottom on the control arm.
b. Locate the grease fitting facing inboard.
2. Ball joint stud into the steering knuckle.
3. Stud nut onto the stud.
TIGHTEN
Nut to 108 Nm (79 ft. lbs.) and align the slot in the stud nut with the hole in the stud by tightening.
4. New cotter pin to the stud.
5. Grease fittings.

Lubricate the ball joint until grease appears at the seal.
6. Brake caliper. Refer to Brakes and Traction Control.
7. Tire and wheel assembly.
8. Lower the vehicle.
IMPORTANT: Check the front end alignment.
