Installation Procedure
1. Install the oil filter bypass valve using the following procedure.
1.1.
Insert the new oil filter bypass valve in the cylinder block.
1.2.
Use a center punch and a hammer in order to stake the valve in three places.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the oil filter adapter fitting.

Tighten the oil filter adapter fitting to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
3. Install a new oil filter.
