Removing Bearing Retaining Bushing And Bearing Assembly
C. Bearing retaining bushing (23).
D. Pivot & (pulse) switch assembly (29) with switch actuator pivot pin (28).
TIGHTEN
^
Tighten pin (28) to 3.1 Nm (27 lb.in.).
E. Housing cover (32).
F. Cross recess screw (31).
TIGHTEN
^
Tighten screw (31) to 1.9 Nm (17 lb.in.).
G. Rack preload spring (19).
H. Switch actuator sector (16).

Spring thrust washer (21) to spring & bolt assembly (22).
J. Spring & bolt assembly (22) to switch actuator rack (20).
K. Switch actuator rack (20) and bolt assembly (22) to housing assembly (15).
L. Shift lever gate (18).
M. Two cross recess screws (27).
TIGHTEN
^
Tighten screws (27) to 5.1 Nm (45 lb.in.).
Installing Switch Actuator Rack To Sector
IMPORTANT
^
First tooth of actuator rack (20) must interact with first and second tooth of sector (16). With actuator rack (20) fully inserted, block tooth
of sector (16) will rest in block tooth of rack (20).
