This bulletin is to alert technicians to information that is not in the Owner's Manuals for the above vehicles. These vehicles have a heated front seat
feature available for the driver and passenger seats. If the passenger safety belt is not engaged, the heated seat feature will not operate on the passenger
seat. This may cause the vehicle owner to bring their vehicle to the dealership unnecessarily for repair.
The following is the content of an insert to be included with all 1998 Blazer, Jimmy, and Bravada Owner's Manuals beginning approximately February 2,
1998.
Heated Front Seats (If Equipped)
If you have this feature, the control is located on the side of the seat. This feature will quickly heat the lower cushion and lower back of the driver and
front passenger seats for added comfort.
Press the lower part of the switch to turn the heater on low. Press the upper part of the switch to turn the heater on high. Put the switch in the center
position to turn the heater off.
The passenger's safety belt must be engaged for the heated seat feature to work on the passenger's seat.
