1. Verify that the linings are in position.
Note: Lift the inner edge of the caliper boots next to the pistons. Press out any trapped air. The boots must lay flat below the level of the piston
faces.
2. Install the caliper over the rotor and into the anchor bracket.
3. Lubricate the guide pin bolts with Delco Silicone Lube (GM P/N 18010909) or equivalent.
Note: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners
requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use
paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint
clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid
damage to parts and systems.
4. Install the two caliper guide pin bolts to the caliper bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 115 Nm (85 lb ft).
Note: Make sure the brake hose is not twisted or kinked after installation. Damage to the hose could result.
