Owners of some 1985-92 M/L vans may comment on a howling or wind whistle noise coming from the antenna.
To verify that the noise is antenna related, remove the antenna and drive the vehicle. If the noise is eliminated, it may be necessary to replace the antenna
with the new improved version.
A new improved antenna has been designed which has superior wind noise characteristics. The new antenna is similar to the old antenna except that it
features 15 steps in the mast (i.e., tapered from the bottom to the top in 15 steps approximately one inch apart).

GMSPO will make every effort to obtain parts. However, the part will be shipped premium transportation at the dealer's expense and all other order
types will be placed on backorder until the 400 control is removed.
