7. Tie rod end (125) from the knuckle (117). 
8. Hub and bearing assembly (114), using a puller.
9. Drive axle.

10. Splash shield bolts (125).
11. Splash shield (118).

Support the lower control arm with a jack stand.

12. Upper ball joint nut (129).
13. Upper ball joint (115) from the knuckle (117).
14. Lower ball joint nut (131).
15. Lower ball joint (127) from the knuckle (117).
16. Knuckle (117).
17. Seal from the knuckle (117).

Install or Connect

Tools Required:

J 36605 Steering Knuckle Seal Installer.

1. Seal (126) into the knuckle (117), using J 36605.
2. Knuckle (117) to the upper and lower ball joints (115, 127).
3. Nuts (129, 131). Torque the nuts (129 and 131) to 128 Nm (94 ft. lbs.). Tighten the nuts to align the cotter pin. Do not tighten more than 1/6 turn.
4. New cotter pins (130).
5. Splash shield (118). Be sure the splash shield is aligned properly.
6. Splash shield bolts (128). Tighten bolts (128) to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
7. Drive axle
8. Hub and bearing assembly (114). Align the tread holes.
9. Bolts (116). Tighten bolts (116) to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.).

10. Tie rod end (125) to the knuckle (117).
11. Tie rod nut (124). Tighten nut (124) to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.)
12. Washer (119).
13. Nut (120). Tighten nut (120) to 235 Nm (173 ft. lbs.).
14. Brake disc.
15. Brake caliper.
16. Tire and wheel.
17. Wheel lug nuts. Tighten wheel lug nuts to 125 Nm (92 ft. lbs.).

Remove the jack stand.

Lower the vehicle.

-

Align the front end and check vehicle trim height.
