Accelerate engine to 3000 RPM and observe dwell meter:
a. If dwell is within 10°-50°, mixture adjustment is correct and no further service is required.
b. If dwell reading is not as specified above, proceed to next step.

Stop engine and remove air cleaner and gasket.
15.
Cover bowl vents and air inlets to idle air bleed valve with masking tape, then drill out idle air bleed valve cover rivet heads, Fig. 14. Drive out
remaining portion of rivets with suitable drift, then remove and discard cover and masking tape.
16.
Install gauging tool J-33815-2 or equivalent into ``D'' shaped hole in air horn casting. Upper end of tool should be positioned over open cavity
next to idle air bleed valve, Fig. 15.
17.
Hold gauging tool down slightly so that solenoid plunger is against stop, then adjust bleed valve until gauging tool pivots over and just contacts
