Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the transmission assembly and the flywheel.
2. Remove the following fasteners from the oil seal housing:

Three screws using a T27 Torx(R) wrench and one nut.

Two lower studs using an E7 Torx(R) wrench.
3. Remove the oil seal housing.
4. Remove the gasket and discard it. Refer to Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal and Housing Removal under Engine Unit Repair.
5. Clean all sealing surfaces.
6. Inspect the housing for warping, cracks, wear, or damage.
