Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
Compressor and Condenser Hose Assembly
Compressor And Condenser A/C Hose
Remove or Disconnect
1. The negative battery cable.
2. Recover the refrigerant from the system.
3. The coolant recovery or surge tank.
4. The air cleaner from the vehicle.
5. The air conditioning lines to the accumulator and condenser.
6. The auxiliary hose connection at the compressor if equipped.

Cap or plug all open connections.
7. The bolt from the hose to the compressor.
8. The hose from the vehicle.
Install or Connect
1. The hose to the vehicle.
2. The bolt and the hose to the compressor.
Tighten
^
The hose retaining bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
3. The auxiliary hose connection at the compressor if equipped.
Tighten
^
The auxiliary hose connection to compressor to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
4. The air conditioning lines to the accumulator and condenser.
Tighten
^
The A/C line to the accumulator to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).
^
The A/C line to the condenser to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).
5. The air cleaner from the vehicle.
6. The coolant recovery or surge tank.
7. Recharge the refrigerant to the system.
