Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair
THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Disconnect the harness connector from the Throttle Position (TP) sensor.
4. Remove the TP sensor attaching fasteners.
NOTE: The TP sensor is an electrical component. Do not soak the TP sensor in any liquid cleaner or solvent as damage may result.
