1. In order to protect the differential case, install the J8107-4, 3.6 inch axle, or the J36597, 9.75 inch axle, or J8107-3, 10.5 inch axle, in the case on

the side opposite the bearing installation.

2. Install the bearing on top of the differential case.
3. Install the differential side bearing onto the differential case by doing the following:

3.1.

Install one of the following side bearing installers to the J8092 (1) and place over the differential side bearing as shown:

For the 8.6 inch axle, use J21784 (2)

For the 9.75 inch without RPO G80 or 10.5 inch axles, use J24430 or the J45900 (2)

For the 9.75 inch with RPO G80, use DT46725 (2)

3.2.

Drive the bearing onto the differential case using the J21784, the J24430, the J45900, or the DT46725 and the J8092.

4. Install the differential assembly.
