Hydraulic Brake Booster Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
NOTICE: Hydraulic brake systems use two distinct and incompatible fluids. Power steering fluid is used in the hydraulic brake booster system.
Brake fluid is used in the master cylinder and brake pipes. Use extreme care when selecting brake system fluids, or seal damage can result.
1. Drain the power steering fluid.
2. Remove the brake master cylinder. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement (Hydraulic Brake Booster).
3. Disconnect the hose to the power steering fluid reservoir at the hydraulic power brake booster. Refer to Power Steering Hoses.
4. Disconnect the inlet hose and the outlet hose at the power brake booster.
5. Remove the power brake booster pushrod.
