Camshaft: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE 

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the engine cover. 
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
4. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the throttle body assembly.
5. Remove the radiator.
6. Remove the A/C condenser, if equipped.
7. Remove the engine cooling fan assembly.
8. Remove the valve rocker arm covers.
9. Remove the intake manifold.

10. Remove the valve lifters and the push rods.
11. Remove the engine front cover.

12. Remove the crankshaft position reluctor ring.
13. Remove the camshaft timing chain and the camshaft sprocket.
