Front Door Interior Handle: Service and Repair
Door Handle Replacement
Door Handle Replacement - Inside
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door (See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair
3. Remove the push pin rivet (6) at the rear edge of the inside handle (5).
4. Slide the inside handle (5) forward.
5. Remove the inside handle (5) from the door module.
6. Remove the lock rods (4) from the inside handle (5).
Installation Procedure
1. Install the lock rods (4) to the inside door handle (5).
2. Align the inside handle (5) with the slots in the door module.
3. Slide the inside handle (5) rearward in order to engage the inside handle (5) with the door module.
4. Install the push pin rivet (6) to the rear edge of the inside handle (5).
5. Install the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair
Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Door (See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair) .
