Heater Hose: Service and Repair
Heater Pipe Replacement - Auxiliary
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
2. Remove the exhaust system as necessary.
3. Remove the heat shields from the vehicle.
4. Remove the heater hose connections from the front inlet and outlet pipe.
5. Remove the heater hose connections from the rear heater pipes.
6. Remove the retainers from the vehicle body.
7. Remove the intermediate heater pipe from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the intermediate heater pipe to the vehicle.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the retainers to the vehicle body.
Tighten
Tighten the retainers to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
3. Connect the heater hose connections to the rear heater pipes.
4. Connect the heater hose connections to the front inlet and outlet pipe.
5. Install the heat shields to the vehicle.
6. Install the exhaust system as necessary.
7. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Cooling System.
