02059 - SPARK PLUG - REPLACE
MODELS:
CERTAIN 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO AND EXPRESS; AND GMC SIERRA AND SAVANNA MODEL VEHICLES WITH 5.3L (RPO LM7
- VIN CODE T) OR 6.0L (RPO LQ4 - VIN CODE U) V8 ENGINES
CONDITION
General Motors has decided to conduct a Voluntary Emission Recall involving certain 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and Express; and GMC Sierra and
Savanna model vehicles equipped with a 5.3L (RPO LM7 - VIN Code T) or 6.0L (RPO LQ4 - VIN Code T) engine. These vehicles may have been built
with wrong spark plugs. Wrong spark plugs could lead to idle degradation or engine piston damage under high load, high temperature operation, such as
trailer towing.
CORRECTION
Dealers are to replace the spark plugs.
VEHICLES INVOLVED
Involved are certain 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and Express; and GMC Sierra and Savanna model vehicles equipped with a 5.3L (RPO LM7 - VIN Code
T) or 6.0L (RPO LQ4 - VIN Code T) engine. The list shown, shows the dealers of record and VINs involved in this recall.

Dealers should confirm vehicle eligibility through GMVIS (GM Vehicle Inquiry System) or DCS Screen 445 (IPC only) prior to beginning recall
