Savana 3/4 Ton Van AWD V8-5.3L VIN T (2003)
1. Install a new oil level indicator tube seal into the transmission case.
2. Install the bottom of oil level indicator tube into the seal.
3. Remove the safety stand
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Install the upper fill tube to the vehicle
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Install the bolt and the nest securing: the oil level indicator tube brackets to the engine.

Tighten the bolt to 47 Nm (t35 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the nut lo 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
7. Install the nut securing the oil level indicator tube to the transmission stud.

Tighten the nut to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the air cleaner.
9. Install the engine cover.
10. Fill the transmission fluid to the proper level.

Removal Procedure:
1. Remove the Park/Neutral Position (PNP) Switch.
2. Be sure that the jackscrew for J 43911 is backed off and will not interfere with installation of the removal tool. Slide the seal remover tool over the
selector shaft (2) with the threaded end of the tool towards the seal.
3. Rotate the removal tool so that the threads on the end of the tool engage the steel shell (1) of the seal. Use a wrench to be sure that the removal tool
is firmly attached to the seal shell.
