Grille Replacement (Base)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the park/turn signal lamp. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement   (See: Lighting and Horns/Parking Lamp/Service and

Repair).

2. Remove the bolts (1,3) that retain the radiator grille (2) to the radiator support.
3. Remove the retainers at the top of the radiator grille from the radiator support.
4. Pull the grille outward in order to release the lower retainers.
5. Remove the radiator grille (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Position the radiator grille (1) to the vehicle.
2. Align the lower grille assembly retainers.
3. Push inward in order to secure the lower grille.
4. Align the locating pin and the retainers at the top of the radiator grille (2) with the slots in the radiator support.

Press the retainers into place.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

5. Install the bolts (1,3) that retain the radiator grille (2) to the radiator support and tighten to 1 Nm (9 lb in).
6. Install the park/turn signal lamp. Refer to Parking and Turn Signal Lamp Replacement   (See: Lighting and Horns/Parking Lamp/Service and

Repair).
