Engine Accessory Bracket: Service and Repair
Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor and Power Steering Pump Mounting Bracket Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the drive belt.
3. If equipped, remove the auxiliary generator. Refer to Generator Replacement - Auxiliary.
4. If equipped with dual generators, remove the bolt from the left side idler pulley (smooth pulley).
5. Remove the idler pulley.
6. Disconnect the air conditioning (A/C) compressor clutch electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the A/C cut out switch electrical connector.
8. Remove the A/C compressor bolts.
9. Move the A/C compressor with the hoses attached to the right side of the engine compartment.
10. Remove the positive cable junction block to power steering pump bolt (1).
11. Secure the junction block out of the way.
