A/C, Cooling System - Auxiliary Heater Coolant Leak

Subject:
Coolant Leak from Auxiliary Heater - Fuel Operated [FOH] (Replace Hose Clamps)

Models:
2006-2007 Chevrolet Express
2006-2007 GMC Savana

with Heater-Auxiliary, Fuel Operated (RPO K08) and

6.6L Diesel Turbo Engine (VIN 2 - RPO LLY) or 6.6L Diesel Engine (VIN 6 - RPO LMM)

Condition

Some customers may comment on a coolant leak.

Cause

This condition may be caused by insufficient clamp load on the auxiliary heater hose clamps.

Correction

DO NOT REPLACE THE AUXILIARY HEATER ASSEMBLY.

Replace the auxiliary heater hose clamps with a universal worm clamp.
