5. Remove the front door lower pillar garnish molding. Refer to Lower Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior
Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair).
6. Disengage the front seat belt retractor guide (4) from the pillar.
7. Remove the shoulder/seat belt retractor bolt (2) from the lower pillar.
8. Remove the shoulder/seat belt retractor (1) assembly from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the shoulder/seat belt retractor assembly to the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
2. Install the shoulder/seat belt retractor retaining bolt to the lower pillar and tighten to 52 Nm (38 lb ft).
3. Install the front door lower pillar garnish molding. Refer to Lower Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding
/ Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair).
4. Install the front door upper pillar garnish molding. Refer to Upper Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding
/ Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair).
