Sierra 1500 2WD V6-4.3L (2008)
4. Install a NEW fill tube seal.
5. Install the fill tube. Ensure that the fill tube bracket is positioned properly on the studs.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .
6. Install the fill tube nuts.
Tighten the nuts to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
7. Install the heat shield. Refer to Transmission Heat Shield Replacement (See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement) .
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Fill the transmission to the proper level with approved fluid.
