Important: The fingers for the spring compression must be adjusted so that the spring is properly seated in the spring compressor.
4. Adjust the fingers (1) for the spring compressor (2) on the front suspension mount (3) so that the fingers (1) are properly seated on the top of the
front suspension strut mount (3).
5. Align the upper spring seat, spring, and the shock absorber as noted during disassembly.
6. Using the J 45400 (1), compress the spring assembly (2) enough to install the NEW nut (3).
7. Install the shock absorber (4).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .
8. Install the NEW nut (3) .
For vehicles equipped with electronic suspension, tighten the nut (3) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
For vehicles without electronic suspension, tighten the nut (3) to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
