Trailer Brake Control Relay Replacement (3500 Chassis Cab)

Removal Procedure

1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.

Note:  Do not remove the spare wheel hoist.

2. Remove the spare tire and wheel assembly, if necessary. Refer to Spare Wheel Hoist Replacement   (See: Maintenance/Wheels and

Tires/Tires/Spare Tire/Service and Repair).

3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).

4. Loosen, but do not remove, the trailer brake control module bracket bolts (1).
5. Disconnect the trailer brake control module and relay electrical connectors.
