1.

Remove the driver's side front door sill trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement in SI.

2.

Remove the instrument panel outer trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement in SI.

3.

Remove the body hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement in SI.

4.

Pull back on carpet in the brake pedal and parking brake area of the floor to gain access to the park brake cable assembly.

5.

Locate the park brake cable, grommet, and stake ring.

6.

Verify that the park brake grommet is seated. If the grommet is unseated, re-seat the grommet into the floor.

7.

Cut a piece of standard rubber service fuel hose that is .500 in (12.7 mm) in diameter to 2.3 in (58 mm) in length.

8.

Use a utility knife to cut a slit (1) into the hose that covers the entire length of the hose.

Important:

Orient the rubber service hose with the slit facing rearward toward the floor and front-of-dash fender well.
