13. Remove the inner disc brake pad.
Note: Do not lever against or pry between the disc brake pad and the brake caliper pistons.
Note: Do not strike or press directly against the face of the brake caliper pistons.
14. If the inner disc brake pad will not release, lever against the metal disc brake pad backing plate (1) and the disc brake caliper body.
15. Remove the brake caliper guide pin seals (1).
16. Remove the brake caliper guide pin boots (2).
17. Thoroughly clean the brake pad hardware mating surfaces of the caliper bracket of any debris and corrosion.
18. Thoroughly clean the disc brake caliper housing guide pin bores with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
19. Thoroughly clean the brake caliper guide pins with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
